Past

by Shelly   Jul 24, 2006

Sitting at an old computer desk,
In the chair that I grew up in.
Staring at a mirror across the room,
Asking myself who's that girl looking back?
She's got the long blond hair,
And the bright green eyes.
Yeah she's wearing jeans and a teal tank top.
She's the tall, slim girl that everyone's learned to love.
But she's still not the girl she used to be.
Always happy with a white smile on her face.
Running down the street and going any place.
Truthful and loving.
Someone you couldn't hate.
Oh how I'd give anything to go back to that.
