You Never Know

I never knew, it would be so hard.
I never knew, it would be the last time,
I saw her.
I never knew, our end was near.
If only I could stop the knife,
Stop all my tears,
Maybe it would all be better.
Oh god,
Please forgive me, and tell me,
Why did I have to end it here?
