Grandfather

Grandfather, it's been nearly three years
Now they tell me your time is near
Why do they rise my fears?
Why can't you just be here?
Why must I shed these tears...?

At first it hit me, like I just went blind
All our memories started goin' through my mind
When I was so young, and you walked with me
When my mom got mad, you would talk with me
Now I reminisce, and try to remember your face
Wish I could take you in one more embrace
I just hope I was never a disgrace
But I'll never forget you 'till the end of my days...

You were a role model to me since I was born
So I'm gonna follow that, and I won't mourn
Never to cry, even if I was torn
So, I'm just gonna smile and know you're in a better place
What could be better than bein' in God's grace
I hope you lived happy, 'till your release
I hope you will rest in peace...

Goodbye Pita Ji, R.I.P. I'll miss you

I just woke up an hour ago, with my dad telling me my Grandpa passed away...he was closer to me at times than my own dad...I will never forget him...Rest in peace Pita Ji...
