Story not poem (of a 16 yr. old who's parents just divorced)

It's not a poem its a story...about a 16 yr. old girl who's parents just broke up...I'm writing as if I'm her and living in her shoes....The girl who the story is about is my friend....here it goes...its kinda long....

----------------------------------------

They aren't together anymore and they never will be. I'll with it but the pain will never go away. It will always be here. Sometimes hidden deep, sometimes very clear. They'll never know what it caused. The sadness, the depression. The leaves of love in my heart, fold up, wither and die. Leaving an empty hole that will never heal. A black space hidden deep inside. The face people see is nothing but a mask, a fake smile painted on wax lips. The real girl is behind it. The girl who's eyes are dripping with tears. and a thousand more will fall with every smile that she creates. A hollow sound to her ears only. To her parents it's a good sound showing that she's getting over the divorce. That she's dealing with it but, she's not and she never will.

What the parents don't know is that sometimes at night, when everyone is sleeping, she sneaks out of her room. To the bathroom. She pops a few pills and makes cuts on her arms. They'll never notice, she thinks, the pills wear off and the long sleeves she wears cover the tell all marks. She believes what they don't know can't hurt them. So, the less they know the better.

I liked it it was very different from anything i`ve read. It`s good to go into someone else`s head and feel their pain. Good Job 5/5
