Dying Rose

Just like a petal
Falling softly to the ground
Landing ever so quietly
No one hears the sound

I stay there dying
As my colour fades away
I take one last look
As the darkness ends my day

Like the dying rose
Fragile to the touch
Falling apart in your hands
I let go of my clutch

That I had on my life
Now I'm ready to leave
My soul will fly upwards
An angel soon to be
