Slipping Through The Cracks

by Renee   Feb 27, 2006

I found a face on the wall today.
it pointed to the heavens;
as if it had something to say.
I looked at a gnarled mouth...
it was oozing with decay.

I spoke for him,
I said "welcome to hell, kid."
Looking around at these wall-like gates
I screamed; "well you're a little f#cking late."

I redirected his fingers,
now they point at the stars.
There is no heaven past that.
Just a fit of lonliness,
filled with our silent roars.

    I could be wrong, but if I'm not, than this was a brilliant write. It flowed well, I had to read it twice to make sure I didn't miss anything, and I think I got what you're saying. It was deep and beautiful. I hope all is well with you, dear. Take care.

    Much love,
