COntract Signed

by Edgar Mayfield   Feb 28, 2006

Death coming from all around
Leaving nothing, not a single sound
Come and gone, speeding past
We knew life would never last
We remain here tied and bound
It leaves us for the ground

But not wasted was our time
A test of our contract signed
Prepared us for what's in store
A paradise we're now ready for
To place us with pure sublime
Out of body and beyond mind

Now our souls will thrive
No worries about endless life
But, abundant joy and constant bliss
And how we'll be grateful for this gift
Here, we actually open our eyes
A place where we'll actually be alive
