Time that isnt worth a dime

by Wildflower   Mar 2, 2006

Damn this life it haunts me
With all the dreadful signs
Damn this life it reminds me
Of a butterfly s wing burning into faded lines

My wounds refuse to heal
This proud pain wont kneel
Time has surrendered in defeat
I can barely stand tall on my feet

Happy is what they all see
But under that exterior
lies the blunt truth of me

life has molded me to what I am
it didnt pamper or spoil me
instead pushed me to face the scam
and my oh my what do you suppose that could be!

Its the people in our lives
That trick us the most
Its this damned theater of life that drives
Us into living like ghosts

Its seeing your fear approach you
While running in heavy shoes
Its trying to forget what happened to you
But failing miserably and drowning in your blues

Faces I cannot erase
A broken era of time
That held on to every single trace
Time that isnt worth a dime

Damn this life it haunts me
With all the dreadful signs
Damn this life it reminds me
Of a butterfly s wing burning into faded lines
