Confused Little Girl

by Jackie Marie   Mar 3, 2006

Gazing up at the stars
As they watch her from way up high
She thinks of her past
And her happiness ends with a sigh
She thinks of her father
A man who she barely knows
The feeling of longing to see him
Slowly begins to grow
Her brother who is in prison
He hung out with the wrong crowd
Got into some pretty bad things
And he was rarely ever around
She thinks of her family
Who is slowly beginning to disappear
Losing the ones she is oh so close to
Is starting to be one of her biggest fears
The feeling of sadness
Has now taken over her life
It has lead her to a life of pure misery
Happiness was the major sacrifice
Just a confused little girl
Stuck in a world that has forgotten her soul
Her part in life as a strong little girl
Is no longer her role
