The Battle of You

Memories consume my tears
You don't believe it so you hide
Scared of realizing who you are
That's how it is on the safe side

Time passes and it gets harder
You hide behind a million lies
You've lost yourself in the fame
They all know it's your disguise

At the end of the day you know
You can never be the same
You're fighting a tough war
And it's not such an easy game

You weren't too hard to figure out
By now I know all your charades
We've been down this road before
And we don't know who to blame

How do I forget so easily like you?
When I'm sitting here all alone
It's over when the last tear drops
This time I won't be going home

You're the thought in every minute
My feelings are stronger than might
It's not about what went wrong
It's about what never went right

That thought crosses my mind
One day when I'm not scared
You'll find yourself once more
It won't matter if you ever cared

Wishes are only our desire
Promises are made to be broken
And dreams only come true
When you are never awoken

The day I'm gone I'll find you
Drowning in your words unspoken
Life and love are the death of me
My dreams are left out in the open

That day we fell in this love
Was the day you became my disease
You're unforgettable, I miss you,
You are my newfound need

As my eyes are dry from your memory
I think I'm accustom to the pain
You hurt me like it's your job
And you're always there for the rain

We know why we met each other
And that nothing is what it seems
The only that's real is obvious
When we wake up from this dream...
