Bottled up darkness

by underahalo   Mar 4, 2006

When the pain of stress is too much,

from school friends, family and such,

people need to let it out.

There's a wrong and a right way,

Their health emotionally and physically is the price to pay.

Nobody knows but them, it's hidden.

We say don't keep things bottled up,

If you do you will eventually erupt.

Well not in their case.

Problems arise, friends and family are always near,

but these problems they never hear.

They can't, won't, and don't express themselves.

It is so easy to talk,

So to some not being able to express yourself comes as a shock.

It's real and its not so easy.

Emotions over time cannot be kept in,

That's when the wrong ways begin.

Their anger hides the pain at the time.

Their anger hides the pain at the time.

Nothing else helps, anger and stress act as a blindfold,

Only after does the pain and the marks become bold.

This is their relief.

Overtime the seasons change and out comes the sun,

Sweaters cover it throughout the summer fun.

The dark secret is hidden.

Smiles on their face,

Nothing is out of place,

The bottled up darkness is never suspected.

Friends, family, nobody knows.

The severity of the darkness just grows.

It's addictive and it is hard to give up.

Help is hard to give to unknown hidden secrets,

Harder and harder stopping gets.

They try so hard but fail,

It continues until they let it out,

That this will work is a big doubt,

But it does. So let the darkness out, Now.
