Take You On Home

by Ashley Redden   Mar 4, 2006

The steady rock made from the waves
The winds blow against
The lonely sailors face
As he listens to the crash of the wave
When it hits against his ship
As he sails the ocean blue
He longs to be at home
Even though the sea has become the next thing to it
He only wishes to touch her tonight
When he starts to feel the rain come down
And beats against his skin
The still waters began to rage
Just another thing to make him miss her more
He makes his way to his bed
Tears draining down his face
No one knows what to think
Of the old sailors fear
Cause they've never seen him this way before
He looks up with a worried look
And begins to says "fellas i just know it,
This is out last night
The sea has beat us
This time i cant fight back"
Hes calling us home boys
Just the place we belong
Sure enough
They didn't listen
They were against what he told them
Cause he never gave up that easy
And as the sky grew just a little darker
And the wind and waves
Tossed their ship around
Their designated arrival
Which they never made
On that first Monday
So captain sent searchers
They found their crew
Ship wreck out at sea
At the bottom of the Pacific
With not even one man standing
With hundreds of sailors gone
If only they had listened
When the wise ole sailor had said
Were going down
Now they sail the Heavens blue
And each time the storm rolls in
An the cool breeze whipping off the waters
Think about the sailors
And the wise man
And if someone mentions
"You Cant Fight It"
Just let it take you on home
