Deleting Memories

by x livid lullaby x   Mar 5, 2006

The weather outside can be described as misery

The clouds are heavy and grey

A bitter wind whips through lifeless branches

Miserable just like me.

Hours pass and I still cant breathe

Scratch marks carved into my walls

Hopeless tears brought on by memory

I still cant find my heartbeat.

The flashing lights I still see

As I delete the haunting texts

46 pills in all

You text me at 23

Delete.

Flashbacks to that awful scene

The policeman asks me to spell my name

The ambulence siren blaring

They tell me that you'll be alright

But something wont let me believe

How could you do this to me?

"35..."

Delete.

Now the snows beginning to fall

Immeresing rotted trees

The birds have stopped their singing

The silence becoming deafening

A long, empty, dying winter

Miserable just like me.

"46..."

Delete.
