Caden (when we grow)

by IlliteracyKills   Mar 5, 2006

Perfection begins at the womb
With innocence at its best
Not yet poisoned by sin
But soon awakened from rest

To take lifes first breath
Is acid upon you're skin
A cancer of the air
Purposed only to breath in

A long road lies ahead
Full of broken glass
From those who've come before
holding a shattered past

Imagine a red rose
After evening rain
Petals gracefully soaked
Softly without stain

But life will come
And pain will show
Unable to prevent
It happens when we grow
