My Fairy

by CritiX   Mar 5, 2006

And suddenly a fairy flew in,
Telling me I shouldnt worry,
You cant win from life she said,
So slow down and dont hurry.

And with fairy dust on my eyes,
I fell asleep in a flash.
And I dreamed about long fields,
Without the worry of life's mess.

It took me across plains of gold,
As I walked under the sun.
Among castles reaching to the sky,
A journey that had just begun.

But soon I woke up from my dream,
And life's mess took over my thoughts.
There was nowhere I could run,
No cure I could have ever bought.

As I walked through plains of grey,
No high castles anywhere to be found.
Across the pavement of stones,
So many that I just lost count.

So each night I wish again,
For that fairy to fly by.
Whispering through my window,
Please let me dream and fly.

Across the clouds,
With the sun shining on my face.
Please let me dream again,
Because this world isnt my place.
