To be in Love

by Nearly but not quite   Mar 7, 2006

To be in love
Such a thrilling sensation
Your train has arrived
At your loving station.

Now I see why
People die for love
For nothing is softer
Than the wings of this dove.

I love you, you know it
I love you so much
Nothing more exciting
Than your electric touch.

Missing you when you're not here
Glued at the lips when you are.
Locked in your arms, together,
It hurts so much to be far.

I know it will end some day
But I hope it's not too soon
For the moment I'm so happy
To just be with you in your room.

I've never loved like this before
Never even come close
Relationships ended in days
Leaving my love so morose.

I promise I'll make this work.
My dear for you I'll try
Others may not understand,
But we'll always see eye to eye.

Please comment, I appreciate constructive critcism if you have any, but praise is really nice, and I'll always return the favour!
And Jamie (the guy this was written for and about) if you are reading this, then please understand that it's the last love poem i will write, because you know i don't know how to express love in words.
But I do love you.
