Nights of Glue and Fire

by Iola   Mar 7, 2006

Your nights are filled with glue and drinks.
You feel so dirty and your blanket stinks.
You look for Him everywhere, and ask Him why?
All those you meet smile and wave goodbye.

Your cold to the bone and your stomach cramps with pain.
City people pass by and disturbingly frown in vain.
You feel like dirt and hate your dreams – those that are fading away.
Cursing rich people and hating their guts; hoping they’ll go astray.

Your fingers are numb and your eyes lost its glare.
Surprisingly in the fire you see something stare…
You look right back and suddenly feel warmer inside.
The eyes you are seeing are bright and warm and white.

Surrounded by blankets; your suddenly feeling free.
Someone is reaching out to – can this truly be?
He lifts you up and tells you to come along.
Realizing that hell ends hear; as you clearly hear heavens song…
