Missing you

by Cait   Mar 8, 2006

Shes lieing
it isn't true
God would never do anything
that bad to you

you look at his old sweatshirt
in a bundle in your room
tears building as you hug it
you yell how dare you god, this cant be true

you scream at anyone who calls
the anger at god is too much
how could he take your best friend
in such a rush

just yesterday he was there
how can he be gone today
it doesn't make sense
you know you have to get him back someway

for days you refuse to smile
refuse to get out of bed
god had taken every happy memory that you've ever had

his wake is approaching
you cant bring yourself to go
his memory is killing you
and you don't want anyone to know

by the time the funeral comes
your a wreck
in a dream you see his smile
and know its time to forget the pain for a while

you cry at the funeral
but know he wants you to be happy
you take a deep breath and say your speech
his love fills the air as you begin to speak

years have passed
and you still miss him
but you've forgiven god
and know that death is just life's loss
