Alone Again and Still

by Danielle   Mar 10, 2006

I look down the halls at the mystery school,
Searching for you smiling face.
Wanting to feel your welcoming arms.
Then I have to remember, you won't be there.
You aren't there to care for me anymore.
The time has passed,
The togetherness has gone.
We were together in yesterdays past,
Not tomorrow's future.
Tomorrow is not up to me.
Otherwise I'd have you back again.
The safe embrace you put on my soul,
Has been snatched away,
To the point of no security.
The smiling face is fading,
Dimming slowly out of dreams and memories.
The halls of this school are disappearing,
Only leaving a maze,
A confusion for me to figure out.
