A Child's Hopes

by xLongxXxLostx   Mar 10, 2006

Childish whispers of broken hopes,
please untie my bonded ropes.
Tell me that it'll be okay,
and lead me to the light again.

I was left alone in the dark,
no one heard my crying harks.
And only did the pain grow inside,
only deepening my desire to hide.

But this tiny ray of light,
is what is left of my blinding sight.
So if you could just lead my hand away,
maybe I'll survive another day.

If you guide me back to the path of right,
I'll be saved from eternal night.
Please help me, Ive become so weak,
Of some hope is what I seek.

You, and only you seem to hear,
But your consideration is what I fear.
Will you safe me, or let me fall?
Help me up, or let me crawl?

Little shreds of trust left within,
always wondering what could have been.
Unable to tell friend from foe,
yet I'm left, unable to know...
