Bit Of Information

by Mayo Child   Mar 11, 2006

I know I just met you and I don't know who you are.

However you have a remedy to this painful scar.

Hours we have sat and talked away the night.

And in this time of darkness you've become my light.

You don't know what you're doing, leading me like this.

But deep inside I realize, perhaps toward happiness.

You've been hurt as bad as I.

And I know deep inside you want to cry.

Stronger than anyone I've ever known before.

It's your strength and will power to which I do adore.

I don't know why I met you or your purpose in my life.

However slowly you are helping me with my pain and strife.

I don't know how to thank you or will away your pain.

I don't know how to help you get back what you must gain.

I know that some thing's special is happening right now.

I know that some thing's coming, just not when or how.

So I walk beside you not caring where we go.

Just a bit of information I thought you'd ought to know.

To you Brian

You are so lucky that I love you, I had to sign in twice in order to comment.

I like the poem, but I think that once you write a poem dedicated to one person, you cannot revise it and say you wrote it for someone else, just because you lost respect for the person you initially wrote it for.

I believe that a poem loses all its meaning when you do that, or just the simple fact that it have none anymore.

To those that just read this poem for the first time, they were left with an impression that you are a great friend(which you are) only they didn't know that the person you first wrote this poem for are no longer your friend.

I'm sorry I am going on and on about it, but I think in order for this poem to work, you have to have a special meaning for it. I have explain why already.

The poem itself was splendid, I just suggest you change the title, because the title makes one think that you are writing about yourself and not about another friend.
