End of My Mind

by Mayo Child   Mar 14, 2006

Standing upon these vast remains,
Looking out upon such a hollow place,
Nothing here left to gain
Expressionless pain pasted on my face.

I've lost a battle within myself
It seems Mother Earth has too,
I placed reality upon a self
Benighted iniquity pulled through.

Earth and sky, they merge as one
Waters boil in frustration
Moon itself died with the sun,
Dancing in formless formation.

In mist a new song doth ring
Abysmal dissonance to behold
Ardent aurora no longer king
Darkness grown bold

Dark abiding abysmal souls
Writing upon a shapeless land
Boundless void of a darkened hole
Graying wonders at my command

Here my heavenly purgatory burns
A world wrought anew
In my head a new rhythm churns
My apocalyptic view
