Unquestionable Love

by gasping for air   Mar 11, 2006

My little one,
In mere months,
I will give birth to you,
Bring you into this world.
It's not a perfect world,
I'm not rich,
I\'m not perfect,
And your daddy may be gone.
But I love you with all my heart,
I will give you everything that I can,
And I will do the best I know how,
Be the best mommy that I can be.
I hope that I am what you want,
Things will be hard,
And maybe it's not the right time,
I'm not prepared for this new life.
But I can't just wipe the slate clean,
I can't wipe you from my memory,
I won't give you up,
In any way or form.
I love you,
More than anything in this world,
My lovely baby,
And I've never even seen your face.
Becoming a mother,
Is a wonderful thing,
Scary, yes,
But it's amazing.
There may be somethings,
That the other kids will get to have,
That you may not,
But one thing you will never find lacking,
Is the unquestionable love,
Of a mother for her child.
