Let Us All Die

by The Wingless   Mar 11, 2006

This world bathes
In the suns fake rays
Distant hills wear Grey
A lonely breeze whispers in the trees

Fleeting memories arise
From the depths of my mind
Sing, "letusalldie" in endless corridors
Sing,"letusalldie" we're hopeless warriors

I am forever dreaming
I don't know
If that's a proper way
To describe how I'm feeling

Countless visions haunt my sleep
You saw it
And you promised
Though we have forgotten
All promises we keep

Slaves to destiny
Let's recall our melody
Sing "letusalldie" lies lit with gold
Sing "letusalldie" heart-breaks yet untold

Happiness follows sorrow
Live your life whichever way
Do what you want
Only believe in tomorrow

This world bathes
In the suns fake rays
Distant hills wear Grey
A lonely breeze whispers in the trees
A sole key to this mystery

    Hewwo Mike.
this was a dark, yet interesting poem!
I really loved your choice of words through out the poem, and it was a good and scary idea :D I liked your flow and nothing seemed forced which was great unlike alot of poems. This had a flow but still had a poetic image to it, and I knwo that makes no sense o.O
