Saying goodbye without saying hello

by Desiree   Mar 14, 2006

Saying goodbye
Without saying hello
How is this Fair
The Answer I'll never know

For 20 weeks you grew inside me
My precious baby girl
But some how it was decided
you weren't ready for this world

We went to my appointment
not knowing what to expect
They said you had no heart beat
(the cord was wrapped around your neck)

That night they induced my labor
knowing you were gone
Delivering my dead daughter
god it felt so wrong

We named you Alyssa
your father and I
it suited you perfect
you with those beautiful blue eyes

On Feb. 9th 2006
20 weeks too soon
Hello and goodbye
As I unwillingly pushed you from my womb

Alyssa Marie Andersen
lost but not forgotten
on Feb. 8/9th 2006
