Need You Here

by Molly Elizabeth   Mar 15, 2006

Slowly I watch
as the hands of the clock
go around and around
I watch the day go by
in a deep trance
so unaware of my surroundings
I only wish I were in your arms.

I drift in and out
unconscious of reality when your away
In a daze, a dream
more like a nightmare
reliving every memory
like a punch in the face
mocking me with feelings and needs...

I could care less whats going on around me
I just need to be near you
sleep with my head against your chest, hearing you breath
watching as you dream
This is me waiting;
Me needing you here.

The time is going by so slowly
it's unfair that I'm still here
your living a life you've always longed for
every unfulfilled dream
as our dreams are set aside,
put on hold
after all...
These were always your plans-
Why should I expect you to change them?

Misery...
thats what this is
A dull life; wishing this wait were over
Hoping our love is strong enough
to make it through these lonely nights... ( I know it is)
Falling and falling...
even more through the distance
I guess this is just me waiting;
Me needing you here.
