Blindfolded

Truth around us, but people afraid.
Hurt out there; put pull over your shade.
Humans in need, not to be seen.
Another’s betrayal looks rather clean.

Crying for attention, but we don’t have time.
Open eyes for gold, but closed eyes for crime.
This is something evil, but turns your face away.
Don’t’ look at wrong, it will make you go astray.

Blinded from the needy, I’m too good for this.
Perfection is too wonderful, something I can’t resist.
Use to work beneath, but leave the work below.
Folded from the truth, away from what we should know.
