The souls that broke her heart

by leanne ferguson   Mar 15, 2006

Another reason for this womans heart to break,
I wish I could take this womans burdens away.
But everyday I have to sit and watch this woman cry,
Everyday I sit and watch her mourn over the souls that could not stay.

And yet another day another soul is lost,
And each day her heart breaks a little bit more.
Some times life is so cruel with no explanation,
And each day I sit and know this womans hearts tore.

I hear what used to be her laughter,
Fade away into a silent tear.
As the souls which broke her heart cry with her,
She can sense that they are near.

For it is not this womans fault,
These souls passed into the sky.
But another day another soul is lost,
And once again her heart will cry.

This poem is for my mother she found out today that her brother did not win his battle with cancer. My mother has lost many people in her life including a son which
broke all our hearts. I have sat and watched her go through the worst
times in her life and knowing no matter what I did or said
couldnâ??t put her mind at ease or change the way she
was feeling also broke my heart too. Sheâ??s
the strongest woman I know and
she means the world to me.
I love you very very
much mum
xoxo
