Just Pray

by Jesi   Mar 16, 2006

I wrote this poem for one of my teammates. We box together, and our coach recently passed away. Let me know what you think...

You think I don't know, about what you go through,
You think that I don't, feel your pain, but I do.

You think I got it easy, that I never have trouble,
But boy let me tell you, I prolly have double.

I worry about myself, and I worry about you,
I worry about your life, and the things that you do.

I worry about the choices, that you make every day,
I worry about your thoughts, and the things that you say.

I worry about your feelings, tucked deep inside,
I worry about every, single tear that you've cried.

I worry about your loss, of that drive and that fire,
I worry about the fact, that you think I'm a liar.

But everything Ive told you, has always been true,
In fact every day, I pray so much for you.

Every time you're in my thoughts, or just pop in my head,
I get down on my knees, and kneel beside my bed.

I pray about myself, and I pray about you.
I pray about your life, and the things that you do.

I pray about the choices, that you make every day,
I pray about your thoughts, and the things that you say.

I pray about your feelings, tucked deep inside,
I pray about every, single tear that you've cried.

I pray about your loss, of that drive and that fire,
I pray about that fact, that you think I'm a liar.

But I gave it to God, there was nothing I could do,
The choices that you make, are only up to you.

But I want you to know, that I really do care,
And if you ever wanna talk, I'll always be there.

I know you don't think, I can relate to your life,
I know you don't think, I understand all your strife.

But I'll be there to listen, and help you get through,
I'll stand by your side, til your Grey has turned blue.

I worry about you every, single minute of the day,
And then I remember, to bow my head and pray.
