Red lies

by angie A   Mar 17, 2006

Note: this poem is not about me!
i don't cut myself, or do any of that stuff. This poem just came to my head for those who do. SO enjoy

Hiding secrets only a knife can keep,
shedding it out with a cut so deep.
a fake smile can cover the wounds so people cannot know
their knife, their friend is where they go
red blood tends to ooze out
revealing secrets the person cannot say or shout
"why me" they always say
but the knife has answered that question in a better way
because just a cut,
can keep their haunting secret shut
cuts cover the arm in disguise
among with the tears of restless, unheard cries,
along with a mixture of red lies..
