Tumors

by Lucy Loves Not   Mar 17, 2006

I know you felt it:

the sensation of
neglect and
delusional love.

recalling escalator rides;
your eyes rolled back

into your mind.
severing, separating
any pain that crippled
your childhood frame.

somehow you
inspired my stubborn soul

struck a match
that knew of no sulfur.

leading me back
after i ran astray.

if only alcohol
drowned minds

could experience your
one step wonders.

less pity pot bull shit
you preached.

you paved a path,
replacing excuses with cement.

well how come you managed
to
skip
out
on this responsibility parade?

you taught me to strive
as you
created short cuts
with your butterfly knife.

who should i thank
when i collect 200 dollars
without my coach at the finish line?

A catchy write though I'd suggest you should improve its form and punctuation. That way the poem will look much better, I suppose.
