The good life

by ...   Mar 17, 2006

Swirling waves and moon in the sky
were the only ones to bid her goodbye
from a world that could not see
how cruel the 'good life' really could be
she was loved by everyone
whenever she was needed, she always would come
but they loved her personality
which was the key
coz her soul had been sucked dry
for all the times she didnt cry
and all the times she'd forced a laugh
coz inside she was torn in half
and no one could see, so no-one could help her fight
the war waging in her between the dark and the light
but soon enough the shadow passed over her life
and her only salvation was found in a kitchen knife
but she found a way to hide her hurt
evidence of what she did, clear as dirt
its amazing how far makeup could go
to make sure her scars did not show
She was so alone
is only someone couldve known
if only shed had a real friend
it might notve meant her end
but she knows that it wont get better
and in death she'll win her last vendetta
so she plunges off the cliff, into the raging sea
her last falling moments, the only shes ever felt free..

I like it, very deep, i'm feeling a bit like that at the moment, and you've really articulated it perfectly. Beautiful imagery too! 5/5
