Changing the Locks

by AllHailTheHeartbreaker   Mar 18, 2006

*Yet another poem that doesn't especially make sense, but is meant to be interpretated. Hope you like it. It is the result of my latest heartbreak.*

I turned away
never to see your shoulders
cross my gaze
again.

Your back to me
I make the gesture
to leave you behind
you never really mattered to me
that much
anyway.

You still might hold the keys to my heart
but before Sunday I'll change the locks
Just you wait and see.
You don't know the half of me.

I wanted you and nothing more
but I was wrong again like always
I don't want you anymore
for what you are -- what you were.
