Nemesis

by Christy Trenholm Schmall   Mar 18, 2006

So in the Darkness
you have returned
To torture and tease me
watch my soul burn

You leave me twisting
in deadly ice wind
Isolated alone
no-one can get in

Arch enemy of a lifetime ago
lets loose screaming pleas
through the years echo

Past and present they
still sound the same
Only difference
The enemy's name

Ti's still the same
make no mistake
it's come back to see
What it can take

It attacks my body and
steals my spirit
Laughs in my ear
'cause no one else hears it

It savagely rips
The light from my eyes
Knows no-one will hear
the little girl's cries

So here in the Darkness
we meet again
I know what you want
What you wanted then

But what is the body
without the soul
Molecules of dust an
Abyss black hole

Take my life
Take my mind
My soul you'll not have
For it is all mine

Lead me to hell
Lead me to death
My soul rest assured
You'll never get

Christy, very dark, mysterious and menacing. Very creative and keeps the reader spellbound.

    Warmest regards,
