Goodbye

by alice   Mar 18, 2006

As my eyes turn to black,
And my wrists turn to red,
My mind is filled with you,
With times when you cared,
Times when we talked,
But that's over now,
You changed into someone I didn't know,
Someone I didn't want to know.

It's my time, to say goodbye,
And relive one last memory,
The stream of tears down my face,
The river of blood, flowing from my wrists,
All contains memories,
Slipping slowly and silently away.

If you had cared,
Things would be different,
In wouldn't have to use a knife as a comfort,
My comfort would be you,
I wouldn't be the way I am,
I wouldn't do the things I do.
I know you don't like it,
But what can I do?
All the people I cared about are gone.

Stop trying the guilt-trip
I tried to apologise, but you didn't listen,
So I gave up,
On friendship, on love, and most of all on life,
This is what I am thinking,
As I stare at what I have done.

I'm leaving you now,
Hello? I said I'm leaving,
Goodbye.
