That girl

by alice   Mar 30, 2006

Lonely girl,
Sat in a lonely place,
Nothing but a knife,
And a tear-stained face,
She tried to stop herself,
But she can't figure out how,
It's like an obsession,
She has to cut...now,
For her it's all fake smiles and laughs,
Always the long sleeves, never the short,
Nobody must ever see,
Her hidden secrets and lies,
She said she was sorry,
She couldn't take the pain,
Wrote a letter a million times,
Could never find the words to express why,
She never wanted to hurt anyone,
It was just how she felt,
Her trusty knife would never let her down,
Self-harm was the only way out,
But even that got too weak,
So now she had to go,
She wrote her final words,
Rolled up her jumper,
Focused on her arm,
And dug the blade in,
It was a comfort knowing it would soon end,
It wasn't like anybody was gonna miss her,
She was just another nobody,
She cried about her family, her old friends,
But most of all she cried in happiness,
Finally out of this world that hated her so much,
Could now make her way some place else,
With no regrets, and no memories,
She silently slips away...
