Resurrection

by Christy Trenholm Schmall   Mar 19, 2006

Fighting Demons long
thought Vanquished

Phoenix Soul Rises
Angry, anguished

Looking over my
shoulder I see

A Wisp of who
I used to be

Nightmares past
to ashes burned
now return

Never a child
Born old Born wild

Self-destructive
she beckons now
insidiously seductive

She's come back to remind me
She can always find me

She smiles at ironic perfection
of her Rabid resurrection
