Alone again, naturally

It's who we are
Its where were going
And its where weve been.

In a little while from now,
If my mood doesnt improve,
Ill promise myself to treat myself.
And visit a near by bridge,
And climbing to the top of it,
Ill throw myself off.
In an effort to make it clear,
What its like when love shatters.

No point in us remaining,
We may as well go home,
As I always do on my own,
Alone again, naturally.

To think that only yesterday,
I was cheerful and bright,
Looking forward and not looking back,
But as if to knock me down,
My reality came around.

And without even a single touch,
I was pulled into a million pieces.
Leaving me to doubt,
About guardians, god and his mercy,
Did they even exist?

And if they exist,
Where are they in my moment of need?
I truly am,
Alone again, naturally.

It seems to me that there are more hearts,
Broken in the world that cant be mended.
Left to fend for themselves.
What do we do? Do we even care?
Dying of a broken heart,
The new epidemic.
Loneliness is just part of the illness.
Death seems the cure.

Its who we are,
Its where were going,
And its where weve been.
