Don't Regret Regret

by PS   Mar 21, 2006

Don't regret regret
regrets surround memories so dear
so close to your heart
you may almost tear
what you did may not now matter
but make sure that your memory is ever so clear
for in the future with your family
your memories is what they'll want to hear
the good times and the bad
the happiness and the fear
theyll learn from you and your stories
their minds are for you to steer
so remember always that though you may regret
hold that regret near
with memories so dear.

It was short and sweet. I think by writing memories and regret more than a couple of times it kind of took more of the impact away. I'd like to see this thrive though among these kinds of poems :)
