The Real Me

Most of the people that I know
do not not know the real me

For each time i meet someone
I put on a mask for them to see

Who would figure out the truth?
and all the things I fear

Someone saw me behind my mask, one day
He came up to me and took it off

He didn't hate me
Or see me as a threat

He actually liked my personality
From the time we met

I found out he had the same fears
and dreams like me

He confessed to me he wore a mask too
To hide himself from the world

So all the things i felt
and all the things i feard

Are actually quite common
So if you feel them

You're not weird
