Your Fall

by Restles Soul   Mar 22, 2006

Raising my eyes and my hopes yet again
Waiting here for you,
Oh what a friend wouldn't do
Waiting here in your shadow for my queue

Even if it's just for picking you up
When you fall, it's better that way
At least I'm not going to be the one who caused it
Even if only then you care about what I say
A sweet word to put back into the light of your day

But then I miss that split moment when you care
That small second when your feelings I can share
And back up you go shining like a star
Like a guardian angel I watch you from afar

I know that you don't need me right now
But I'll wait to answer the questions of why, when and how
You don't notice that I'm there unless you need me
Yet the pain you suppress then is your key

Like an angel in a cage I wait quietly
I refuse to let go, for you I'll wait undeniably
I'll watch you fall once more time after time
Feeling oh so wrong after each crime

Trust me; I can bring you rest
I'll take the world and give you only the best
I'll soothe your wounds and scars
Just remember of this angel behind these bars
