Puppets

by Restles Soul   Jun 13, 2006

I'm here, don't worry
I'll look into your eyes and tell you I'm sorry
I'll give you a reason for that mask you hide under
I'll play your game, a puppet of no tought, no wonder

I won't ask questions and won't make a fuss
I'll be the one you trust
The sholder you run to cry on
I'll listen to your problems until dawn

And when the time comes
When the coin turns
I'll shed my mask
Break free from your cast

For you to realise
When you look into my eyes
They have changed
And the animal you once tought was caged

Is the master of all your strings
The one you cursed for all those inconvenient things
Those obstacles that lay in your way
All those feelings I made you say

They may have made you stronger
Made you stand for longer
But they gave away your fears
Tonight my dear you'll burn in tears

My sholder gone, My presence missed
You used to think it was pure bliss
Now all these words you throw at me
And all because I let you see?

But in the end does it really matter?
When all I wanted was the whole of you to shatter
Passing over these pieces of you all scattered
Not giving a care, because it never even mattered.
