My city is gone

by Patrick Davis   Mar 22, 2006

My home New Orleans
yes my city is gone,
and even through it
was destroyed I wish
I was home.All my
family all my friends
scattered apart,but
I will always keep them
in my heart.Katrina
you came and took
my life, but I may have
found my future wife.

My hood has been with
me for so long, and I
truly cant believe that
it is gone.Water and
wind like space and
time but I wont forget
my home in time.Please
my readers lend me
ears my people have
cried so many tears
but we'll be back to
conquer our fears.

I like it. Short but it had alot of emotion in it. I wrote a poem called Hurricane 05' if you care to read it. I cant even image living in New Orleans so sad. Bush isn really helping out that area as much as he should but you know we dont need him! Keep writing, i liked reading.
