My Heart

My heart holds the love of ages,
sets me free, but also cages.
Lifts me up, then brings me down,
lets me smile, but makes me frown.
Makes the world seem bright and new,
keeps me dark, and leaves me blue.
Gives me hope, the takes it back,
steals my life, then jumps off track.
Show's me what the future hold,
keeps me wrapped in the past's folds.
Makes me wonder just who I am,
and show's me that I just don't give a damn.
