Help will come

by Katie   Mar 25, 2006

My religion is a drug
And therefore it makes me smug
But I've never seen the world comfort a widow
I've never seen drugs help the girl lost in her pillow
I've never seen help come to the girl who bleeds tears
I've never seen a rescue from the girl that runs from her fears
I've never seen an elixir to all the damage that love has done
I've never seen the earth come to the one who holds the gun
I've never seen aid to the one that gives her body in the night
I've never seen service to the one that gets abused with fright
I've never seen loyalty to the one that stays at the saloon
But I have seen sin and evil take over peoples life, so with all your strife i tell you this, you will see the light
I'm not writing this to profess my strength
But to Neal down before you, and show you the way
I've been through the fire, and have done my share of wrongs
But my God does forgive as long as you show him your love
He'll let you in his house and show you what you will become
With open arms he'll greet you with a smile on his face
And point among the crowd to his child who has the faith

And in the end i tell you, Help is on its way
No matter what fortress you trapped in the dragon will be scared away

A heart that finds God, found it all. A perfect heart, makes friend with God.
