Torn

A lonely tear
Rolls from my bloodshot eye
I bow my head in a prayer
Then look up to the skies

My hands bound tight
With jagged wire
Piercing my skin
My soul is on fire

God, wherever you are
Save me from this living hell
I need to be free
I need to be well

My crimson red skin
Shining in the sun
My slashed face
On display to everyone

My life hangs in the balance
I have to make it through
I need to get home
Into the arms of you

    Dude. Awesome work. Loved it, great and depressing and dark. Just one crit. The word choice in the second line 'puffy eye' perhaps use a different word. But apart from that I was engrossed and impressed!
