Summer night

by Andrea broken tears   Mar 26, 2006

Its late
and I lay here in the dark
staring out through the window at the park.
Only seeing tiny black figures
running never looking back.
I hear the sound of the swings back and forth
going higher and higher.
Faint voices of kids going home
from playing.
The lampposts humming, their just coming on.
Their shadows cast along the dark road as the moon shines bright.
They are home now as they leave the stories and games in the night.

This just proves that you really have no boundaries when it comes to writing... you could write about anything and still find satisfaction in it.... i like variety and you showed a perfect example of it... you also showed how observent and attuned to your surroundings you can be... as i read this, i felt inspired to write something similar... it's been awhile since i've written about nature and the world.

excellent and i mean it... 5/5 and more if i was allowed.
