Sometimes

by Rosie   Mar 27, 2006

Nothing goes the same every day
Nothing writes itself the same way
As is it did before.

Nothing lasts forever
No one can ever say never
'Cause it'll happen once, even if it never does again.

Sometimes things go wrong
And you can never put them right.
Sometimes the violin scratches a song
And plays into the night.

Maybe it's better to smile and lie
The truth being that I want to die
'Cause this way, you won't worry.

It's hard to cope now it's gone forever
It's hard to finally choke the word 'never'
It's hard to hug you without meaning what I do

Sometimes things go wrong
And you can never put them right.
Sometimes the violin scratches a song
And plays into the night.

Now it's gone, it's gone forever
Kept on Grief's short teasing tether
It's gone forever

Sometimes it's over before it begins.
