Fall To A Lie

by BleedingPrettyInAFairyTale   Mar 28, 2006

A deafening silence falls through the clear,
As the rain pours down,
In the far distance I hear,
A voice call out words I can not comprehend,
A lie to be told,
A lie like a passionate dagger piercing my heart,
This wonderful lie will take me and mold
Me into beauty then break me apart,
Slowly and painfully it all becomes clearer,
The words I can hear them,
Dragging me down into the lie now deeper,
A feeling overwhelms me that of wonder,
Contradicted by agony,
I find a false hope to hide under,
Telling myself that this wonderful lie is real just to believe,
There shall be no further pain,
What the voice says can not hurt me,
Confusion consumes the mind,
Wanting to run from the voice,
Yet I can not leave these feelings behind,
The voice becomes louder and the dark figure appears,
Drowning out my conscience which says this is wrong,
Screaming the words from the voice still seem so unclear,
The figure moves closer with its hand reached out,
I stand there frozen still hearing the voice and its lie,
Just a shadow it quickly reaches in and rips my heart out,
The figure with my heart still beating in its sinister hand,
A peaceful feeling over comes me,
As it speaks its lie that I now understand,
With the figures hand reached out there lays my heart,
He whispers the words one last time closes his hand,
My wounded heart falls apart,
I stand there abandoned now no one around,
A once impenetrable heart,
Now lays broken on the ground,
Every word the figure said was so untrue,
I now just another victim to the words,
"I love you"
