Lost toy

by PS   Mar 29, 2006

Editte 4/4 completely changed the whole thing

Looking looking
forever looking
for a childhood toy
a baby's lover

searching for innocense
that cannot be found
forever lost; stolen
never to have again

under the bed
in the basement below
or up in the dusty attic?
looking looking
forever looking

lost to the teenager
doing drugs at school
lost to the high schooler
who cannot find a condom

the rattle, tricycle
hoola hoops and skipit
beanie babies and pogs
where are they i can not see.

grades are falling down
like london bridges
stds are spread without thought
ring around the rosy

looking looking
for a childhood toy
something to hold on to
something that i cant find

*for a poetry game

original:
looking looking
forever looking
for a childhood toy
a baby's lover

under the bed
down in the basement
or up in the attic
looking looking
forever looking

Wow, amazing Job. The Flow and the Rythm was great. This peice was short but to the point. Keep up the good work.

It was different to have the toy as a baby's lover. I thin kthe flow was better but maybe describe exactly who is looking and more of what they are looking for/ what they see while looking :)
